Hello readers! I am so happy to be writing this blog. I have been wanting to share my pregnancy experience with you. Today I want to reflect on my pregnancy with my son, and my pregnancy with my newest little sweetheart. It is crazy how different each pregnancy can be. I was twelve weeks yesterday, and most of my unpleasant first trimester symptoms are getting more manageable, but man did I get thrown for a loop with this pregnancy! So today I want to share with you ten of the most common early pregnancy symptoms from my experiences!

1. Missed Period
This one may be a no brainer! Some women may experience symptoms before or after their missed period, but this is definitely a sign that you may be pregnant!
With my son, I was so nervous to take a pregnancy test. He was unplanned, and I did not know how I was going to deal with everything if I was pregnant. Sure enough, after 2 weeks of putting it off, I had two VERY dark lines on the test.
This time around (in mid March), we had been trying since December so when I felt a little off, I ran straight to dollar general without telling my husband what I was buying. I was supposed to start “my time of the month” that day, but nope! Those two little lines were very prominent once again!

2. Very Light Spotting or Cramping
When I found out I was pregnant with my son, I was so nervous because I was spotting as if I was about to start my “time of the month.” When I went to the local health department, I was made aware that spotting can be normal for some women. On the other hand, if you feel like something is really wrong, speak with your doctor pronto! With this pregnancy, I did not experience the spotting.

3. Nausea With or Without Vomiting
Oh my goodness. With my first pregnancy, I honestly think that my morning sickness was very mild compared to many women, but I remember feeling nauseous on and off from 6-12 weeks with my son, but I only vomited once. Tums and Ginger Ale were always my lifesavers!
With this little one, he or she if giving me a run for my money! At week 6, I started having severe morning sickness! I had to get nausea medicine prescribed by my doctor. Tums and Ginger Ale did not even touch it. I have also lost weight because of it. At week 11, I could finally manage my nausea on my own. Hopefully it stays manageable.

4. Food Aversions or Cravings
With both of my pregnancies, meat is not appetizing to me. Fruit is the biggest craving of mine! All moms have different aversions and cravings, but it is very normal!

5. Bloating
Are you not fitting any of your jeans? That may be a sign that you are expecting. I remember going through everything in my closet (before buying pregnancy clothes) in such frustration because I felt like nothing fit me anymore my first go around. This time I just gave up on normal clothes pretty quickly, and I got my pregnancy clothes out of my closet! Just a heads up, you bloat quicker the second time!

6. Mood Swings
If you are feeling like you are crying for no reason one second, mad the next, and then fine a few minutes later, you are probably pregnant. I remember when I had no clue I was pregnant with my son, and my husband wanted to hang out with his friends instead of me, and I cried. I am usually not like that at all! Haha. I’ve had my moments this time too; especially with a two year old to push my buttons!

7. Fatigue
Your body works hard when you are growing a tiny human. You need plenty of sleep, and your body will demand it.
With both pregnancies, by 7:30 in the evenings, I do not feel like I can make it any longer. I hide in the bathtub for a little while and close my eyes most evenings for some me time.

8. Sore or Swollen Breasts
Your breasts may be more sensitive at this time. There are tons of hormones raging in your body, and they are preparing you to feed your sweet little one.
9. More Sensitive to Certain Smells
You may notice that you can smell things from across the room or certain smells make you want to gag. This does not help with the nausea!
Every time I go to take out my trash, I usually get sick. If my husband sees me running for the back porch, he has learned to let me have my moment, and then I will be okay. Sometimes, even doing the dishes gets me gagging too. I hate it.

10. More Frequent Trips to the Bathroom
You may also feel an urge to urinate so much more frequently. There is definitely hormones and pressure or your bladder during this time. Although it is annoying, there is nothing to worry about!
I have a friend that picks on me because I pee all of the time when I’m not pregnant so you can only imagine how much I go when I am pregnant. Haha. I use the bathroom at least once an hour, and do not get me started on sneeze peeing… That is a normal occurrence since having my son as well.

I hope this was either helpful or at least interesting to you guys! I love sharing my life and my experiences with all of you! If you are a mom, tell me what your biggest early pregnancy symptoms were! I love hearing from all of you! Stay tuned for more content soon!
