Alright you guys, in todays blog I am going to admit something I’m not proud of. The week that I started working again (2 months ago), I got really behind on dishes. We live out in the woods, it was hot outside, and dishes were stacked to the brim of the sink. I got home after work to gnats all in my kitchen. There was literally a swarm of these nasty little winged things.. I didn’t know whether I wanted to panic or barf! Okay, sorry this blog is honestly a little disgusting. Haha.
Anyways, I had to do something. I looked up different solutions, but they were all toxic, and I needed something that was safe to put in my kitchen. So after some research and a phone call to my grandma (who literally knows all), I was ready to give something a try. I washed all of my dishes and cleaned my sink really well, and then I grabbed 2 small Tupperware dishes and put together my secret weapon!
My Secret Weapon (Gnat Away):

- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- A little bit of dish soap
Results:
Well it worked like a charm! I put one Tupperware dish in the sink, and I put one on the kitchen table. I changed them out twice a day, and after 3 days, the gnats were gone! The water is the base, the apple cider vinegar and sugar attracts them, and the dish soap traps them! Simple as that!

If you have a problem with these little pests, feel free to use this little concoction. Sorry this blog wasn’t like my usual posts, but if i can at least help one other person with this, it’s worth it! Have a great weekend y’all. 😊
