Our Wedding Day!

Hello readers! I’m so excited to share our special day (October 7, 2020) with you all! We had an appointment at 11:00am with the magistrate at the courthouse, so we met one of my my best friends and her husband at quarter till 11 so they could be our witnesses. We went in, and our friends signed some papers first, and then we stood in front of the magistrate (with our masks on), and we said our vows and exchanged rings. It was so sweet. I was almost 1,000% sure that one of us would cry, but we didn’t. Instead we were smiling so hard, and it went by super fast. We were in and out within 15 minutes. Then Javier and I went back home and enjoyed some chicken salad and fruit as refreshments with our families! Then we all took pictures together! Here’s a photo spam below!

After taking pictures, we went to play mini golf and went out to eat with his family! I absolutely LOVED the simplicity of our day! I never wanted a big wedding. Big events stress me out so much. When my sister got married in 2016, I was more nervous than she was, and I was the maid of honor not the bride! I loved that our day did not involve tons of planning and running around. We got to enjoy every bit of our day.

I am so excited that we have taken the next step of our lives together. I can honestly say that I have wanted to marry Javier since we fell in love in 2017. I knew it was a once in a lifetime kind of love. When we met, it felt like I had known him my whole life. It was like I found the pieces of me that were missing. Now I am complete because we were joined together as one. I cannot wait to love him in the good and bad. I want to take care of him, have more children with him, and put food on our table every night (whether it is a full course meal or takeout)! I love him with all of my heart, and I always will.
