The word home has many definitions for different people. Home can be your house, a favorite family vacation spot, or even another person. I think home is anywhere where you feel completely safe, happy, and at peace. Also, home is where you should feel the most comfortable being yourself.
For my whole life (up until this year), I had lived in the same house with my parents and my sister. I spent 21 years in the same room. Even now when I visit my parents, I walk right in and kick off my shoes. I feel so happy and comfortable at my parents’ house. I feel the same way about my boyfriend’s mom’s house too. I spent two years always showing up uninvited, yet I was always welcomed by his family. He has 5 siblings so there is always someone to hang out with! These places were home to me before we had our own home.

This weekend our little family spent most of our time at home just relaxing together. It had been a pretty busy week, and all three of us really needed some extra rest. Being at the house with my boys got me thinking about how blessed we are to have our home. I love our little place. We moved into this trailer with only my childhood bed, a dresser, some kitchen stuff, clothes, and my old laptop. That was only nine months ago. I remember just being so happy to have our own house that I didn’t care how much we had because we had each other, and that itself is worth so much. We were only two months away from having our son when we moved in, and I couldn’t wait to start nesting! Since then, we have turned this place into a great home that has been full of so much love and laughter.

Even though I feel very at home in my house, I feel like home is really anywhere as long as my two boys are by my side. They really are my whole world. Home is even in the little details of life. Home is playing on the floor with my son in the living room. Home is when my son is napping and my boyfriend and I are cuddling on the couch with a bowl of ice cream laughing for no reason. Home is when my baby boy falls asleep in my arms. My boys are my home.

What is home to you? Is it a person or a place? I’d love for you to leave a comment down below telling me your definitions home. ❤️

Same, wherever my husband and children are❤
I could so relate to the write up
I’ve lived lots of different places over my lifetime and the most important thing is to be with people you love. For me, home is the place I share with my husband and children.
Home is my safe place with all my favorite people.
