I had a really great day today! From start to finish, it was just a really nice day. Sundays are usually just super chill lazy days for our little family, but today we actually had plans!
Usually I just chill with my boyfriend on Sunday, but he had something to do for the first part of the day so I went to church with a friend. I hadn’t been to church in a while so it was really nice. I dressed JJ up, and he looked really cute. He was wiggly during the service, but he did okay. That was my first time going to that church, but I really liked it. The people were really nice, and I really liked the vibe. I could see myself going back there.
My friend, her son, and JJ and I went to a little Mexican ice cream shop afterwards by my recommendation. It’s one of my boyfriend’s favorite places. I may have missed him a little.. I got an elote (street corn) and an horchata! Man, I love horchata. I even got one to take to Javier. After that, I just went home because it was little man’s turn to eat.
I fed little man when we got home, and he knocked out for about an hour! I was able to do laundry and the dishes! That doesn’t sound like a lot, but I’d been putting it off for days! Then when JJ woke up, I played with him in his walker. He’s starting to pick up toys and notice his hands!
When Javier got home, it was around 4:00pm. We watched a movie and hung out until we went to a baby shower at 6:30pm at Golden Corral. It was for one of my coworkers from a restaurant that Javier and I worked together at. So it was like a friend reunion plus some new people I hadn’t met, but everyone had a blast! It’s so much fun catching up with old friends, and also making new ones! Especially now that a lot of us are becoming parents or already have been parents! I worked with most of them up until I was 8 months pregnant so of course they were excited to see JJ! There were so many laughs, and we all ate so much food. We had a great time!
Tonight, I ended the night with my boys. I gave JJ a little bath, and breastfed him to sleep. Then I made Javier’s lunch for tomorrow. Now on to bed because you never know what’s in store for this week!

So sweet! Great job, mama! Adjusting to new routines with a baby can be hard, and you’re rocking it!
Sounds like a fun and exciting time out! Glad that you found a new church that you feel comfortable going to and that you were able to enjoy some time out and about.
