Last night, I was feeling excited about today. I was supposed to go out and meet my mom for lunch and get groceries. I was ready to get out of the house for a little while. Being at home every day makes going to the store seem fun. Haha. Well things didn’t really go to plan..
Last night, no matter what I did, my son was acting like he was starving. He woke up at 2:00 am. He was crying and “rooting” on my chest while I was trying to cuddle him. I fed him his normal amount of almost 4 ounces. Then we went back to sleep for 30 minutes before he was crying the same way again. I knew he shouldn’t be hungry, but after another hour, I gave him another ounce. It was like that ALL NIGHT. Until 7:00 am.
My boyfriend had just left for work, and little man and I still hadn’t slept. He just kept crying while I was holding him so I laid him down and he let it all go. He threw up all over the blankets I washed yesterday. Oh well. He felt better and stopped crying. He just looked up at me like, “Oops mommy.” Sometimes since they can’t tell us what’s wrong, things like this happen.

This morning I called my mom to tell her how the night went. Instead of meeting her to eat, she brought food to my house since I was so tired. She also helped me with some chores, and she helped me with JJ too so I could rest. I’m so thankful for her. I’d go crazy without her. Then when my boyfriend got home, he let me take a long nap. Then we watched a funny movie. It was nice to laugh and just lay around with our little family.
I was still disappointed that I did not get to go out today, but today wasn’t so bad. I spent the day with my family and got some much needed rest. Sometimes plans change, but sometimes you just have to roll with it.
