Ten Relatable Things That All Moms Do

Hello readers! This blog is for all of my fellow mamas out there. Motherhood is such a blessing, but it also has it’s hard moments! So this is a comical yet oh so relatable post about what it is like to be a mom! Without further ado, here are ten relatable things that all moms do!

1. She hides in the bathroom to get a moment.

Even though we love our kiddos, sometimes we also need a moment to ourselves. Usually I take an extra long bath when I need a moment alone.

2. She makes sure everyone has a plate of food before she sits down at dinner time.

Half of the time, my food is cold by the time everyone has what they want and need at dinner time, but I do not mind. It makes my heart full to feed my family. I would not mind a hot meal though!

3. She extends screen time just to get peace and quiet.

On the hard days, sometimes I just replay Cocomelon for the 30th time so I can rest a minute. I bet I am not the only mama out there that has done this! Haha.

4. She hides some of the snacks for when the kids are in bed.

Okay, I’m guilty of this! I limit my two year old’s sugar intake so sometimes I hide away a cookie stash for naptime or bedtime!

5. She cherishes hugs from her independent toddler because she doesn’t know when he will offer again. Haha.

Some days my son is very clingy, but some days he wants to be independent. With that being said, I take my hugs when I can get them! I never know when he might give me another!

6. She puts her kids in the cutest clothes while she wears sweatpants and a old T-shirt.

Especially being pregnant, this is so me lately. I stay in my husband’s gym shorts and old T-shirts. Meanwhile, my child is in a perfectly matched outfit! I still do not go too fancy though because he stays making messes!

7. She writes a to-do list of 10 things to do for the day, but only gets to do maybe 4 or 5 things.

This is also something I do A LOT! There are not enough hours in the day! I either completely finish my to do list or I only get to do 4 or 5 things. All we can do is try our best! There is always tomorrow!

8. She cries when her family is not looking because she only wants them to see her happy.

I rarely cry in front of people (especially my child). I usually let it out when I get a moment alone. I will say though, it is also just fine to be vulnerable and show emotion in front of your family too.

9. She either cooks a 4 course meal or ramen noodles (there’s no in between).

We actually had ramen noodles for dinner today (on the day this was written). There are some days when you have time to pull out all the stops, but there are also sandwich and ramen days as well! I have no shame!

10. She makes sure everyone is peacefully sleeping before she sleeps.

Getting a two year old to sleep is no simple task, but I always make sure my son and his dad are peacefully sleeping before I snuggle up in bed. When everybody else is peaceful, I am peaceful too.

I hope you guys enjoyed this blog! Please comment below if you have any relatable things to add! Be sure to share with your mom friends, and stay tuned for more content coming soon!
