Lately the weather has been amazing here in North Carolina. I have been wanting to go somewhere outside with JJ, but I have had so much to get done around the house. Today my boyfriend did not have to work so we decided to go to the park!
I wish I could say that I packed an elaborate picnic for us for lunch, but we just went around the window at Bojangles. When we got to the park, there was an empty picnic table in the shade waiting for us! We left JJ in the car seat, and Javier and I ate together. I wish I would have taken a picture of it, but it was the same picnic table that has mine and Javier’s initials from 2 years ago carved into it! We used to go to that park about once a week to just hang out. Seeing our initials on the table just made me smile so much!
After we ate, we went to the swings with JJ. There was a baby swing over by the playground that we decided to try! He’s a little bit too small for it, but when we put a blanket in it, he fit in there. He loved it! At first he had a straight face, and then he started laughing and kicking his legs!
Then we got on the regular swings with him. He loved that too. Im not sure who had more fun, JJ or us! It was a great time for our little family. It absolutely melts my heart to see Javier play with JJ. They have such an amazing bond.
Some of the best moments in life don’t cost a thing. With the weather starting to be so nice, I am looking forward to having more priceless moments like these. I also have so many fun things in mind for us to do together as a family this fall. I can’t wait to share the fun with you guys too so stay tuned!
