September 14th might just seem like just another ordinary day to most people, but it is such an important day to me! Yesterday the love of my life is turned 20 years old!Last year on his birthday, we were still coming to grips that we were going to be parents. Turning 19 and knowing you will be a father soon is a ton of pressure! Needless to say, we were stressed.
Within this year, he has really stepped up to the plate, and he has become a wonderful dad and man. He was already a great boyfriend, but he really has matured and grown within this year. I am so proud of the man Javier is becoming. He works so hard to provide for us, he is always there for JJ and me, and he is just such a sweet and loving person. That is why I wanted to make sure his birthday was super special for him.
We started celebrating his birthday Friday night. Since I am a stay at home mom right now, I couldn’t buy him a present because it would be like him buying his own gift so I decided to make him a cheesecake and buffalo chicken and cheeseburger sliders for supper! Those are his favorite foods right now. When he came home from work, I had almost finished cooking everything. He was surprised! It made me feel happy to cook for him and eat together at the table. Lately we’ve been eating in the living room so it was nice to eat at the dinner table together.

Then we went the mall to walk around! We were going to bring in JJ’s stroller, but we ended up just carrying him around instead of having to worry about the stroller getting in people’s way. The mall that we went to also had a big arcade! We had so much fun playing the games! JJ was so mesmerized by all of the TVs and games in the arcade because of all of the neon lights! We stayed at the mall until closing at 9:00pm, and then we went home.

Saturday (yesterday) we celebrated his birthday with his mom and siblings! His mom, sister, and I made Sopes for everyone! It took almost all day to prepare everything, but it was worth it! They were so good. His mom also had a cake for him. It was a Reese’s ice cream cake! Yum. Before we cut the cake, JJ kept trying to grab the cake! It was pretty funny, but of course he couldn’t have any! We also took a few pictures as a family, and then finally we ate some cake.

I hope his special day was really enjoyable for him. I’m glad we were able to spend time together and with his family. He is loved by so many, and I hope he has many more years to come. Happy Birthday my love. ❤️
