Slow Down, Little Man!

As a stay at home mom, I am with my baby 24/7 so I see him all day everyday. JJ will be 4 months old next week, and I can’t believe how big he has already gotten! It’s like you don’t realize that your baby is constantly growing until one day when you wake up, and you notice he is bigger than just the day before! He even moved up to size 2 diapers earlier this week! I can’t believe my 6 pound newborn is already almost a 12 pound 4 month old!

He has been having so many milestones in the past couple weeks, and it is so fun to watch! Lately he’s been noticing his hands and feet more! He also loves to sit in his walker and play with toys. His favorite game is shoving his toys off of the walker and into the floor and laughing! He also will grab handfuls of my hair when I am holding him. He’s got quite the grip too! Ponytails are my best friend right now!

He’s also started to squeal and make funny noises lately! He always smiles when I talk to him, and he even smiles when I’m talking to other people because he thinks I’m talking to him. It’s really adorable. He even gets unlatched while I’m feeding him sometimes because he smiles at me then too! He’s just such a happy little man.

Also, he’s getting a little harder to hold! Unless he’s asleep, he will not be still. He likes to sit or stand up in my lap. He will wiggle and fuss if he is laid back. People who don’t see him often try to lean him back and he won’t have it! The only time he likes to be laid down is when he can wiggle around or have just a little bit of tummy time!

There are so many more milestones to come too! Especially when that pesky bottom tooth comes through soon! This teething stuff is no joke. Even though I wish I could slow time down, I’m just enjoying watching my baby boy strive and grow! It makes me feel like I might be doing things right!
