Listen to “Episode 16: Hospital Bag Must Haves!” on Spreaker.
I went to the hospital with so many things packed in my hospital bag! I barely even used half of the things I brought! Here were the things that I used that helped me the most.
• Chapstick. When you are pushing, your lips will get very dry. Trust me, you’ll be glad you brought it.

• Extra clothes for yourself and your significant other. If your man is going to be there with you, don’t forget about him too! Haha.
• Flip flops or slippers! I loved having shoes to just slide on if I needed to walk around.
• Toothbrush/Toothpaste.
• Deodorant and Shampoo. Just in case you want to shower.
• 2 baby outfits. Pack a regular onesie and a going home outfit!
• Nipple cream, nursing bra, and nursing pads (if breastfeeding). Girl breastfeeding is rough, and you’ll be glad you brought it!
• Snacks and water bottles. Bring snacks for after you deliver, and for the other people there with you.
• Pads. I mean, you don’t have to, but the ones at my hospital didn’t have wings like I’m used to, and I leaked really bad.
• Phones/cameras/chargers. Capture the moment!
• Blankets and pillows. You’ll be glad you have this stuff from home. Also a soft blanket for baby.
• Your own medications. I was discharged a day before my son, and I was still in a lot of pain. So Javier ran to the store and got me some Tylenol until we could all go home together. So if there are any medications that you normally take, do not forget them!
These are just the must haves! You can add or take away from this! I wish you the best of luck mama!

You are such a an awesome Mommy! ♥️
I also had a book in my hospital bag 😁
That’s a good idea!
First off, your little is so stinking cute. ♥️♥️♥️
I love the fact you included change of clothes for dad. He is, in fact, often forgotten in all of this.
Great post
I brought too much when my first was born. I brought my own pump!! LOL and then the hospital let me use theirs instead.
This is so important for any new mom! When I was going to be induced I had no bag packed and was lost. Always plan ahead !
This is great info for any new mom out there ! When I was induced I had no bag ready and was a mess. Always plan ahead.
It’s so true that we often overpack! I think the only thing I would add to your list is a eye mask if you are like me and struggle to sleep when there is too much light coming in during the day.
Perfect list. Minimalist and covers everything you’ll need.
I’m due in 5 weeks and still haven’t packed my bag. Thank you for the kind reminder!
