5 Big Milestones At 5 Months!

This past month has been crazy! I have been so amazed by how much my little man has grown. He turned 5 months on September 19th, and he’s just growing by leaps and bounds! He’s starting to be so funny and energetic. It seems like every day he is growing and doing something new. So in this blog, I want to share with you how exciting everything has been this month!

First, he started rolling! He’s been rolling over for a while now, but recently, I can’t even leave the room without him rolling off of the blanket I put down. He’s so wiggly, and he gets wherever he wants to go! He loves to just play and roll on the floor.

Also, a couple of weeks ago, I started mixing my breastmilk with baby cereal once a day and feeding it to him. I want him to get the feel of eating with a spoon before he starts eating baby food. He loves it! Sometimes I have to give him something to play with to keep him from stealing the spoon, but he does pretty good. I still breastfeed him for his other feedings for now.

He’s also been grabbing EVERYTHING he can get his hands on! It wouldn’t be that big of a deal if he didn’t constantly chew on his hands, but I really have to watch him especially with flu season approaching. He has also gotten to where he likes to feel my face. He also rubs my boyfriend’s beard when he sits in his lap. It is adorable.

He is also trying so hard to sit up, but he isn’t quite there yet. He likes for me to pull on his hands and pull him up, but I do not do it too many times because I don’t want to hurt his arms or make him sore. He loves to sit beside me on the couch though.

He is also starting to squeal when he is happy or excited. He loves to play and be tickled. He makes so many sounds, and Javier and I are always laughing or copying him. Also, if he gets upset, he’s started to yell, “Mom mom mom mom!” or just, “ma!” It is so cute! Mom was his first word! I just wish he didn’t only say it when he is mad. Haha!

I hope you all enjoyed this blog! I was really excited to share our fun with you guys. It’s just really amazing to see your child grow and become smarter everyday. I can’t wait for all of the milestones to come!
