Then And Now

It’s crazy how much the way you think changes as you get older. When you’re little, you feel so carefree and full of energy, and when you are an adult, it’s like reality sets in and makes you a little more humdrum. I was really amused when I was thinking of some of the differences between my childhood and my life now. Here are some of the most relatable ones..

• I used to get excited when I got mail. Now I think having no mail is a good thing!

• I used to want to pull all-nighters with my friends. Now I’m tired by 10:000m, and I pray for 6-8 hours of sleep a night.

• I used to want to go out every weekend. Now I love staying home in my pjs all weekend!

.• I used to want to be popular. Now I only have like 2 close friends, and I am totally fine with that.

• I used to hate chores. Now I get super excited about kitchen utensils, and cleaning supplies.

• I used to be so excited to get my permit/license. Now I race to the passenger side so my boyfriend has to drive!

• I used to think $100 was a lot of money. Now I realize that $100 doesn’t go very far.

• I used to think relationships and raising a family were effortless. Now I realize that it is hard, and my parents are just very strong and amazing people.

Sometimes I wish I could go back to when I was little and things were simpler, but I still love my life just the way it is. I hope you enjoyed this blog and found it relatable.

Here are some then and now pictures of me. 😊
